Over 2000 children have been trained during the last 11 years at the Emmanuel chess centre. Most children have gained recognition in their own schools and districts. Many have played and won tournaments in India and abroad. Thus our system of training has been tested and proved over time.
Age group
Generally children aged between 5 and 14 are taken into the chess centre. However individual interest, motivation and level is also considered.
Teaching method
A ratio of 4 children per coach is followed in Emmanuel chess centre. Children are devided into groups of 4 based on their knowledge and playing capacity. One coach is assigned for each group. In their groups, children learn concepts and practice. As they progress, they are put in higher level groups. The performance of all the children is constantly evaluated and monitored.
